The Announcement:

After leaving high school with a diploma, a bankroll, and a Platinum plaque, L.A.’s 310babii is on a mission to show the world he’s the man in his city. Turning up the heat with a relentless set of bangers, the 18-year-old rapper shares 310degrees, illustrating the high-flying life of a young boss. With help from L.A. sound architects including Bankroll Got ItPilgrim, Diego Ave, TRGC, and more, 310babii keeps the temperature high across the album’s 13 tracks, offering high-tempo heaters purpose-built to rock the club. Now free from his studies and able to pursue his career full time, 310babii revels in the spoils of rap stardom. Money, cars, clothes, girls–all of these things come easily to him, but 310babii never loses his cool, navigating the high life with a wisdom beyond his years.

The young Inglewood native’s second album of the year, 310degrees is home to multiple viral singles, including both versions of “rock your hips,”: one featuring Saweetie, and another with fellow L.A. heavy-hitters OhGeesy and BlueBucksClan. “rock your hips” went viral on TikTok, reaching #6 on Billboard’s TikTok Top 50 and racking up over 100k video creations (along with 2.5 million combined YouTube views), and is currently #19 on the Rhythmic radio airplay chart. “rock your hips” was the Inglewood native’s second viral hit of the summer, following the dancefloor-filling “pink whitney,” which peaked at #26 on the TikTok x Billboard chart. Also on the tracklist is “forward back,” a bass-heavy, Bankroll Got It-produced banger that earned a spot on the soundtrack for NBA2k25.

The rest of 310degrees builds on those fiery anthems, showcasing the artist’s mastery of the West Coast party anthem, and adding some new flavors to his style. “lock easy” connects 310babii with Milwaukee diva Lakeyah for a piano-led L.A. anthem–the two rappers display a crackling chemistry over thumping 808s and silky violins. Songs like recent single “that’s it” and anthemic opening track “7 days a week” combine apocalyptic club beats with cucumber cool flexes that both marvel at how far he’s come in such a short time and seem completely unsurprised: “B*tch, I’m locked in/It ain’t no joke/Got seven days a week, n**** we ain’t goin broke.”

If the album’s first half is meant for the club, the second half is targeted towards breezy drives down tree-lined boulevards. 310 teams up with fellow teenaged wunderkind Luh Tyler on “stuck in my ways,” which mixes propulsive percussion with shimmering DX7 chords conjuring a neon-lit L.A. night. Toronto’s Roy Woods joins 310 for the sultry “pick it up,” adding a welcome dose of melody that complements the rapper’s calm demeanor. 310babii treats fans to a sequel to his fan-favorite single “The Hills”: on “The Hills II” the young artist reflects on how what was once aspirational is now his day-to-day lifestyle. 310degrees capitalizes on the momentum that started last year when 310babii released his chart-topping hit “Soak City (Do It),” the biggest West Coast rap song of 2023. “Soak City” solidified the then 17-year-old artist as the hottest young hitmaker on his coast–while still taking classes every day as a high school senior. The piano-laden anthem dominated late-summer 2023 and had a major shelf life, spending 19 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 (#53 peak), and simultaneously topping Urban and Rhythmic radio airplay charts for two weeks. 310babii’s momentum carried into 2024, when he was named an artist to watch in 2024 by Complex and Spotify, named an L.A. Rapper To Watch by GRAMMY.com, and released nights and weekends, a February 2024 project that commented on his double life as student and budding star. 310babii performed “Soak City” at a series of high profile events, including CoachellaRolling Loud California (in his hometown of Inglewood), NBA’s All-Star Weekend, the BET Awards Pre-Show, and most recently, at Kendrick Lamar’s famous “The Pop Out: Ken & Friends,” during Mustard’s DJ set.

With 300 million streams to date and his high school career in the rearview, 310babii starts a new chapter with 310degrees. Sit back and watch as he continues to make all the right moves.

The Background:

During the same weeks he graduated high school, 310babii earned his first platinum plaque. The certification came for “Soak City (Do It),” a song that 310 performed during the Kenny & Friends Pop Event in June. “Every artist has their recipe, and my method of success has been dominating TikTok and social media.” After a consistent handful of seven-figure songs, including “Soak City” and 2024’s “Rock Ya Hips,” 310 is diversifying. His new video single, “Pink Whitney,” applies a winning formula for party anthems and brings that energy to the club.

310babii’s journey began in junior high school. His youthful enthusiasm has always complemented the thought and wisdom of an old soul. In 2023, a single—”Soak City (Do It),” snowballed into a worldwide anthem. A companion dance fueled TikTok and spawned video edits and a remix with OhGeesy and BlueBucksClan. As 310babii’s hit propelled to 20 million music video views, the song reached #1 on the Rhythmic and Rap charts for two consecutive weeks, and spent 19 weeks on the Hot 100. In the weeks and months that followed, he doubled back with a star-studded debut Nights And Weekends, and found more success. 310 has appeared onstage at Coachella, performed sets at Rolling Loud on both sides of the Atlantic, and sold out a hometown show at The Novo. The industry is taking notice, as 310babii made Billboard’s “21 Under 21” list and was named Spotify’s “Most Necessary Artist to Watch 2024” as the DSP crowned him “the voice of a new generation.”
