An expert storyteller who takes inspiration from his checkered past, Mozzy doesn’t mess around with fake gangsters. Joining forces with Lil Zay Osama, Mozzy relays that message loud and clear with his new video single, “Ain’t On Sh*t.” Sliding in the pocket of a sinister street instrumental, the two rappers take shots at dishonorable figures, as Mozzy criticizes their stick-handling abilities and Zay Osama calls them out for seeking federal protection for their block activities. In the video, the two rappers kick back in a gym locker room, accompanied by “a real demonic type-a squadron” as they calmly show the masses how a real one behaves.
“Ain’t On Sh*t” continues a productive 2023 for Mozzy, following the heartfelt “If I Die Right Now,” released earlier this month. Before Mozzy finished up a one-year bid in May, he released KOLLECT KALL, a 6-track EP featuring appearances from YFN Lucci, Baby Money, and his Sacramento associates E Mozzy and Celly Ru, and home to the acclaimed single “FREE ALL THE LIFERS.“ KOLLECT KALL earned coverage in Pitchfork, Rap Radar, HotNewHipHop, Okayplayer, and more. Mozzy has been keeping the streets hot with singles like the hard-hitting “Count Time” and the flex-heavy “10 Percent” (5.8 million views).
Mozzy is currently hard at work on the full-length follow-up to 2022’s Survivor’s Guilt, his first album released in partnership with CMG/Interscope Records. Coming this fall, Mozzy’s next album continues his run as one of the most acclaimed and popular street rappers of his generation. He has earned two GOLD certifications from the RIAA as a lead artist–“Excuse Me” and “Sleep Walkin–and three more on his collaborations with Skylar Grey, Likybo, and $tupid Young.
