We at Audible Treats stand in solidarity with the protesters across the country who seek justice for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless others. As a company, we are developing a concrete plan of action to combat the deleterious effects of systemic racism and police brutality. Currently, our team members are donating to just causes, marching in the streets, speaking out in public and private, and further educating ourselves about America’s racist past and present so that we are better equipped to call out injustice when we recognize it.

We take our role seriously as a conduit for amplifying voices and stories that tend to be ignored by the mainstream media. As for our day-to-day work of publicizing our artists and their stories, we’re working closely with them to find a balance between their need for artistic expression and their solidarity with the protest movement.

Big Havi Announces No Pen No Pad Just Pain EP, Coming June 5th via Commission Records

The 20-Year-Old Rapper Behind Radio Hit “9 Times Out Of 10” Shares “Dope Sh*t,” the First Single From the EP

Critical Praise:

“In a very unforgiving and fast moving musical context, Havi proves he can go toe to toe with the best of his rap contemporaries and likely stick around too.” – EARMILK

“The ‘9 Times Out Of 10’ rapper is poised to be Atlanta’s next star.” – ELEVATOR

“Big Havi’s got a way of latching onto the beat and making any track an earworm” – HipHopSince1987

The Announcement:

With a skill for effortless melody and a co-sign from Lil Baby, Atlanta rapper Big Havi channels his pain into his music. Returning with his second EP of infections and affecting trap gems, Havi announces No Pen No Pad Just PainKeeping the emotional heft of his last EP Personal Problems, the new EP adds a dose of earned confidence, brimming with the hope and determination of a young man seeking to succeed amidst lifelong struggles. Haunted by memories of his traumatic past, Havi displays a wisdom well beyond his 20 years on the EP, working through his issues with raw lyricism. No Pen No Pad No Pain EP releases on June 5th via Commission Records.

Explains Big Havi: “The title of the EP honestly came about while I was on tour with Lil Tjay, and my touring DJ at the time, DJ Ole Yella (@djoleyella), and the rest of the dudes were all just chilling after a show, playing video games, kicking back. He said “Boy, you’re music just comes natural, straight up – no pen, no pad, just pain!” That was something that really resonated with me, because I don’t write any of my music. I just go into the studio and punch it. The EP as a whole just touches on a lot of pain I’ve gone through in my life and how I’ve moved past it. On my last EP I didn’t really get to touch on my brother’s passing. That was something I was able to do here. I keep on maturing as an artist and getting more comfortable in front of the mic, so I hope that’s something people will be able to recognize here.”

Along with the announcement of the EP, Big Havi shares Dope Sh*t, his new single. Taking a break from heartfelt ruminations on his troubled past, “Dope Sh*t” is a minimalist trap banger from a young rapper who knows he’s the man. Alternating hypnotic monotone and drawly triplets atop exotic plucked strings and syncopated handclaps, Havi declares his intentions to take over the game: “I’m the motherf*cking G.O.A.T., b*tch/No I ain’t wrote sh*t.”

Signed to Commission Records, home to artists like Lil Dicky, Derez De’Shon, MadeinTYO, and more, Big Havi already has a bonafide radio hit under his belt in “9 Times Out Of 10.” With over 23 million total streams, more than 8 million YouTube views, and a feature from Lil Baby, “9 Times Out Of 10” reached #30 on the nationwide urban radio airplay chart. Earlier this year, Big Havi turned heads as a supporting act for Lil TJay, performing songs from his Personal Problems EP on the sold-out “True To Myself Tour” (2k-3k capacity rooms). With No Pen No Pad Just Pain EP, Havi looks to continue his success, with an eye on becoming the next ATL rapper to hit it big.

Says Big Havi, “There’s a lot of sh*t going on in the world right now, and everybody’s been going through it. I pray my music is something that people can latch onto because it’s nothing but real music, real experiences, real pain.”

The Background:

The young rapper born Javier Hardeman combines tuneful rhymes and an effortless flow about personal hardships and future aspirations. His relatable lyrics are what set him apart as a rising new star in an always crowded Atlanta rap scene. After a major label bidding war, Big Havi decided to take the indie route, signing with independent powerhouse Commission Records (MadeinTYO, Lil Dicky, Derez De’shon, Casey Veggies, IDK). On the heels of his hot new single “9 Times Out Of 10” continues to rise up urban radio charts, Havi shared his debut project Personal Problems on February 7th. You can catch Big Havi in concert opening for Lil Tjay on the “True 2 Myself Tour.”
