THE RECAP:

The Saturday night sky in Rosarito was aglow with performances from some of the hottest stars in Latin music. Puerto Rican phenom Ozuna presented his lavish canvas of rhythmic Afro-Latin pop, inspiring crowd sing-alongs to hits like “Diles” and “Hey Mor.” Mexican American pop sensation Becky G brought her Birkin bag of bops and slayed the stage with hits including “Mayores,” “MAMIII,” and “Shower.” Reggaeton maverick Feid made Colombia proud with his passion-fueled performance, while groundbreaking producer Sky Rompiendo delivered a beach-shaking set.

Baja Beach Fest’s 5th anniversary welcomed fast-rising Puerto Rican trap artist Young Miko to the main stage for the first time, where she staked a claim as a powerhouse in the genre, breezing through fan favorites like “Lisa” and “Classy 101.” Ivy Queen reminded the crowd that she is truly the Queen of Reggaeton with her piquant blend of braggadocio and sensuality. Ryan Castro prompted mass perreo along to his massive hit “Jordan.” Earlier in the day Alexis y Fido, Gabito Ballesteros, and Chanell got the festival moving in the afternoon sun.

Celebrating Latin Music and Reggaeton in a beautiful beachside locale, Baja Beach Fest is the premier live showcase for one of music’s ascendant genres. Starting in 2018 as a humble beachside fest, Baja Beach Fest has grown into an institution in Rosarito Beach, MX each summer. The one-of-a-kind festival has recruited headliners including Bad Bunny, Ozuna, Karol G, Daddy Yankee, Maluma, and more. Founded by Chris Den Uijl and Aaron Ampudia of La Familia Presenta, Baja Beach Fest celebrates its Fifth Anniversary in 2023 with one massive weekend full of great music, unforgettable moments, and immaculate vibes.
