Celebrating Afrobeats and African culture with events across the globe, Afro Nation prepares to make its United States debut this weekend in Miami. Today, the inaugural Afro Nation Miami announces set times for the festival, occurring this weekend at loanDepot park.
Afro Nation Miami boasts two stages: the Afro Nation Main stage, a full-sized stage for many of the festivals performers, including headliners Burna Boy on Saturday and Wizkid on Sunday. Fans looking to dance the night away can attend the Piano People stage, a showcase for the emerging South African club genre of amapiano, featuring major names Uncle Waffles, Major League DJZ, and more. Along with the set times, Afro Nation Miami shares the festival site map, which makes good use of the loanDepot field and surrounding grounds.
Afro Nation Miami boasts a deep lineup that Afrobeats, dancehall, hip-hop, amapiano, and other Black-led musical genres. On Saturday, fans can watch ascending Afrobeats icons Rema and CKay, plus dancehall legend Mavado, and rising Ghanaian drill star Black Sherif, before ending the night with Burna Boy’s catalog of hits. Sunday brings a diverse array of global stars, including Hot 100 hitmakers Rema and Fireboy DML, red hot reggaetonero Sech, and Nigerian riser BNXN, before Wizkid shuts it down to end the night.
Afro Nation Miami announces sponsor activations for this year’s festival. CÎROC will feature its newest flavor, Honey Melon, at festival bars. Hennessy sponsors two of the festival’s VIP lounges: the sky terrace, and the Recess Lounge. Audiomack joins as the official sponsor of the Piano People stage, and will create the official playlist for Afro Nation Miami.

Afro Nation Miami 2023 comes hot on the heels of Afro Nation’s announcement of its second U.S. festival, Afro Nation Detroit 2023. The upcoming festival promises performances from the biggest names in Afrobeats and superstars in Hip-Hop, R&B, Amapiano, Dancehall, Reggae, and other African, Afro-Caribbean, and African-American musical genres. Presented in partnership with Bedrock, a Detroit-based company, Afro Nation Detroit 2023 arrives on August 19th-20th, 2023 at Bedrock’s Douglass Site in Detroit, Michigan.
Afro Nation has established itself as a major tastemaker and advocate for African music since its founding in 2019. In 2022, Afro Nation brought a high-powered group of international music stars and over 40,000 fans to the beaches of Portimáo in July for the second-ever Afro Nation Portugal, with headliners that included Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Megan Thee Stallion. Earlier in the year, the innovative festival made its North American debut with Afro Nation Puerto Rico. The festival closed out 2022 with Afro Nation Ghana 2022 in Accra, Afro Nation’s first event in Ghana since 2019.
Afro Nation festivals are dedicated to providing a global platform for music from Africa and its diaspora. In addition, Afro Nation teams with BBC Radio 1xtra and the Official Charts Company to host a weekly UK Afrobeats Chart Show, and in 2022, Afro Nation partnered with Billboard to present the first-ever U.S. Afrobeats Chart.
