The Broward County Native Prepares to Criss-Cross the Country on a 30-Date Headlining Tour, Stopping in Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, and More
Slim Diesel Joins the Tour as a Special Guest
The Announcement:
Blessed with a tireless work ethic, Ace Hood’s dedication to improving his craft and his spiritual self shines through with every song and performance. Today, the Broward County native announces “Protect Your Energy Tour,” his next nationwide tour, kicking off in October. With special guest Slim Diesel, the 30-date sojourn starts in Gainesville, FL, passing through New York (10/10 @ Bowery Ballroom), Los Angeles (10/30 @ Los Globos), Dallas (11/4 @ Trees), and Houston (11/6 @ BFE Rock), before concluding in Atlanta on 11/12 (The Loft). The upcoming tour arrives on the heels of Ace’s standout performance at Rolling Loud Miami in July. Tickets for “Protect Your Energy Tour” are on sale now.
Ace Hood has had a busy 2022 so far, and he’s far from done. Most recently, he shared “Energy,” the first single from his upcoming B.O.D.Y. EP. Highlighted by fresh flows that float over the airy instrumental’s booming bass with a renewed sense of drive, the track finds Ace comfortably adorning his crown: “Heads up, the king is here in my ride/When it’s right on time and if you do not mind/I’d like a glass of Prosecco wine, I’m with the queen bout to get offline/Wait, scratch that.” The upcoming B.O.D.Y. EP reflects Ace’s dedication to improve himself through physical activity, as he explained to Men’s Health in a recent edition of Train Like.
B.O.D.Y. continues a series of EPs that started with M.I.N.D EP. Released this spring, M.I.N.D. marked a fresh, new start for Ace. The EP was animated by a clear social message that dissected the mentality required to triumph over personal and generational trauma. Whether celebrating the spoils of his hard-earned self-sovereignty as an artist on tracks like “Living Legend,” trading verses with Killer Mike on “Greatness,” or grappling with long-standing structures which serve to deny him that autonomy as a black man on songs like “Free,” M.I.N.D. served as Ace’s testament to the universal truths found only by looking inward. With B.O.D.Y., Ace aims to uncover the individual truths exposed by experiencing the universe outwardly.
As he prepares to go on tour this fall, stay tuned for much more music and mindfulness from Ace Hood.

The Background:
Amid a career highlighted by gold and platinum plaques, Top 10 albums, and A-list collaborations, Ace Hood solidified his legend as the first rapper from Broward County, FL, to reach national prominence, paving the way for artists like Kodak Black, YNW Melly (about whom Ace Hood narrated a podcast with Complex and Spotify), and more. This new path was not easily forged for Ace, who made immense personal sacrifices to invest in himself while reinventing his artistry. Ace’s journey to inhabit his new self began with his physical and mental health–he devoted himself to training (he started a supplement brand called Ace Blend to help people realize their gains), meditation, family time, and self-love. Though there were some bumps on his road to self-reliance, Ace always knew he was on the right track. “I am in a space where I’m creating the best music of my life,” says Ace. The success of his 2020 album, Mr. Hood, and its hit single, “We Ball” (75 million streams), have proven that statement, and this year, he’s on a mission to sustain, even grow, his independent empire.
