The Announcement:
Surging out of his native Kingston off the strength of his booming voice and earworm melodies, Armanii is Jamacia’s latest dancehall star. Finishing up a red hot summer in style, the young artist delivers “PROPERTY TAX,” a dancefloor-filling new single. Produced by Weekday, a dancehall sound architect known for his hits with Alkaline, Shenseea, and many others, “PROPERTY TAX” gets its bounce from spindly guitars and percolating 808s, inspiring Armanii to work his higher register as he professes his intention to never let his woman go. The new song is a sensual and seductive ripper, equally suited to the club and the bedroom.
“PROPERTY TAX” is Armanii’s third single of his scorching Summer ’26, following his releases of “WORLD CLASS” and “WUL UP.” Features an interpolation of Beenie Man’s dancehall classic “Who Am I?,” later reworked into “Girls Dem Sugar,” “WORLD CLASS” puts a new spin on Beenie’s classic refrain, applying Armanii’s suave demeanor and smooth vocals to create a new hit, with over 1.5 million streams across platforms. Earlier, Armanii made a splash with “WUL UP,” generating millions of streams across platforms. A collaboration with renowned dancehall producer NOTNICE, “WUL UP” layers Armanii’s rich and melodic vocals over a muscular riddim, eschewing international influences to create a banger that is Kingston to its core.
Armanii’s career is surging since the release of his hit album THE IMPACT.
