Winning fans wIth her soaring melodies and ten-toes-down authenticity, 414JungleBaby is putting a new spin on Milwaukee’s rap sound. Capitalizing on a major moment on social media, 414JungleBaby releases “Yo Baby,” her new single and music video. Already named a “Best New Track” by Pitchfork, “Yo Baby” comes with a beat that mixes Milwaukee’s signature lowend sound with breezy, propulsive R&B, with funky synth bass, airy synths, and bubbly Fender Rhodes. The new song is a showcase for Jungle’s taffy-like melodies, filled with tough talk and sweet talk in equal measure. Directed by Kharkee, the video finds Jungle scrolling through her social feed, before she shuts out the noise and connects with her IRL bae, fellow Milwaukee rapper Myaap. Jungle’s On The Radar performance of “Yo Baby” generated nearly half a million views on Instagram in less than 24 hours, attracting comments from stars like Sexyy Red, Veeze, and J.P.
Following the recent single ‘BANG,” “Yo Baby” continues a steady rise for 414JungleBaby, who veterans in her city have pegged as the Brew City’s next big thing. Since she was a child, has been making headlines for being unapologetically herself: she made national news in first-grade when a teacher cut off one of her braids in class. Instead of being humiliated, Jungle used that moment as motivation, vowing to never betray her authentic self and express that self through her music. Growing up in Milwaukee’s streets, Jungle grew a hard shell, and music was the outlet she used to let her true feelings out. The rapper set herself apart in the scene with her expressive melodies, which allow her to float atop her city’s trademark snares with style and grace.
Jungle’s distinctive aesthetic has caught the ears of some of Milwaukee’s brightest lights, who have given her their enthusiastic co-sign. She teamed up with SME TaxFree on aspirational local hit “I’m Speeding,” recruited local legend Chicken P for the down-and-dirty single “Blood On My Socks,” and connected with fellow MIL riser Ricch Millie for “Deja Vu,” which became her biggest hit, with over 2 million streams to date. Jungle closed 2025 on a hot streak, releasing energetic singles “Hit The Ground” and “Any Day Now.”
With much more music on the way, 414JungleBaby plans to elevate in 2026. With her history of defying the odds, it would be unwise to bet against her.
