Shoreline Mafia Throw Down with “We Like To Party,” an Electro-Funk Throwback for the New West Coast

Shoreline Mafia are the West Coast’s foremost purveyors of party anthems, making the function jump since they first emerged in 2017. The West Coast’s favorite rap group continues their run with “We Like To Party,” their new single and music video. “We Like To Party” is inspired by the electro-funk sound that dominated the West Coast in the 80s, updating he sound for the modern era with thumping 808s and jittering hi-hats. Ping-ponging off one another with their trademark chemistry, OHGEESY and Fenix Flexin reference Slick Rick & Doug E. Fresh’s classic “La Di Da Di” (also famously referenced on Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle) as they celebrate their hedonistic lifestyles. The song arrives with a cinematic video, in which GEESY and Fenix take some of L.A.’s baddest to a labyrinthine office complex, where the girls dance on top of desks before the crew moves to the garage for an impromptu sideshow.

The first glimpse of an upcoming EP from Shoreline Mafia, “We Like To Party” continues the momentum from “Quickest Routes,” Shoreline’s recent collaboration with hitmaking producer Disco Lines, and continues their epic comeback, which started last year with Back In Bidness. Their first new album since 2020’s GOLD-selling Mafia Bidness, Back In Bidness debuted on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Shoreline celebrated the release of Back In Bidness with their first-ever performance at Coachella in April 2025.

Last summer and fall, the duo took the nation by storm on their “Back In Bidness Tour,” culminating in an epic, sold-out show at Los Angeles’s Kia Forum, where they hosted a star-studded celebration of their music and cultural impact. In front of a crowd of 12,000, the duo led the crowd through a litany of their local and national hits, including “Musty,” “Nun Major,” “Gangstas & Sippas,” “Trap House,” and “Bands,” before bringing out a litany of special guests. Guests who performed during that special night included YG, who teamed with Shoreline last year for their single “HOLLYWOOD,” Ty Dolla $ign, Big Sean, Coi Leray, BlueBucksClan, Mike Sherm, Kamaiyah, and many more. OHGEESY is currently on tour, performing more than a dozen dates across the West Coast in late March and early April.

“We Like To Party” and “Quickest Routes” follow a series of successful singles from last year, including “HOLLYWOOD,” which went viral on TikTok, reaching the platform’s Top 20 songs chart, and reached #44 on YouTube’s music video chart. Shoreline made waves in Summer 2025 with the release of their funk-sampling single “ROCKIN” (30 million streams to date on Spotify alone), which peaked at #17 on Rhythmic Radio. Recently, Shoreline released the single “OUT MY MIND,” recruited Diplo to remix “HOLLYWOOD,” and collaborated with Ty Dolla $ign, Tyga, and Quavo on the posse cut “DON’T KILL THE PARTY,” from Ty’s album TYCOON.
