The Announcement:
Pioneering a fusion of trap and heavy metal with a uniquely chaotic energy, SosMula aims to push hip-hop fans out of their comfort zone with his intense new music. Fresh off signing his new deal with Ricky Hil‘s Limosa Nostra Records, in a JV with 10K Projects and Atlantic Records, the underground king announces his next project, KAMP KRYSTL LAKE. The upcoming album is the rapper’s first solo project since splitting from City Morgue, his boundary-pushing, stadium-rocking rap duo. Taking his dark trap sound to its limit, the album finds Sleezy on a mission, locking into each song with his animated delivery in an attempt to burrow into the depths of listeners’ subconsciousnesses. The Brazil-born, New York-raised rapper plans to release KAMP KRYSTL LAKE in time for Halloween.
Today, SosMula releases “TRENCH BRAZY,” the first glimpse of the upcoming album. Produced by multi-Platinum, Grammy-winning producer Lex Luger, along with SosMula’s longtime associates 3quinox and Harzia, “TRENCH BRAZY” is a speaker-knocking slice of the apocalypse, combining simmering 808s with tolling bells and haunting vocal samples. Halfway through, the song kicks up a notch with a beat-switch, as Sos matches the increased energy level with frenzied flexes: “Still running to the money with a broken leg/I whip a brick in the pot like a broken egg,” he snarls. In the video, Sos and his crew post up uptown, transforming the trenches into a scene out of a horror film.
Born Vinicius Sosa in Sao Paulo, Brazil, SosMula and his family moved to New York when he was young. The family moved around a bit, but eventually settled in Spanish Harlem, and the young Sos grew up fully-immersed in the hip-hop culture of the Five Boroughs, while also falling in love with the era’s hard rock and heavy metal music. After years of attempting to balance his love of music with the allure of the streets, SosMula eventually connected with kindred spirit NY rapper ZillaKami and formed the duo City Morgue, pioneering the trap-metal sound. City Morgue was massive in the underground, racking up billions of streams and selling out dates with their raucous performances and uncompromising sound. During his time in City Morgue, SosMula continued to make his own solo albums, including his 2021 debut 13 SONGS 2 DIE 2 and last year’s 29-track SLEEZ RELIGION.
Now with City Morgue in the past, SosMula looks to show the world what he can do on his own. He has a strong partner in his corner in the rapper, singer-songwriter, designer, and entrepreneur Ricky Hil, who signed Sos to be the first artist to release under Limosa Nostra Records, in a joint venture with 10k Projects and Atlantic Records. SosMula and Ricky Hil plan to launch their “KILLA SEASON TOUR” in February, featuring music from KAMP KRYSTL LAKE and Ricky’s upcoming album.
Stay tuned for much more from SosMula and Limosa Nostra in the near future.

About SosMula
Formerly one half of New York duo City Morgue, rapper SosMula has pioneered the trap-metal subgenre. After finding global success in the late 2010s with albums like Vol. 1: Hell or High Water and Vol. 2: As Good As Dead, SosMula ventured into solo work. SosMula issued his first full-length solo release, 13 Songs 2 Die 2, in 2021. Hosted by mixtape mainstays Trap-A-Holics, the tape pushed further into Sleezy’s acidic, uncompromising vision for the trap genre. In 2022, SosMula issued his sophomore set, 2 High 2 Die; the rapper’s second mixtape leant heavily into rage beats, scoring his outlandish verses with more electronically led production. In 2024, SosMula released Sleez Religion, a massive 29 track project that is menacing, aggressive, and batsh*t crazy in all the best possible ways.
About Limosa Nostra Records
More than 15 years ago, Ricky Hil made a statement with his 2009 mixtape Limos Were Cool in the ’90s. Blending rap, rock, and other genres with a distinct style, the artist teamed up with acclaimed DJ and producer Don Cannon for a project that fit squarely into the paradigm shifts of the blog era. The music, the aesthetic, and the attitude were changing—lavish self-importance giving way to raw, lo-fi introspection. Hil self-released the acclaimed tape through Limosa Nostra, a nod to his part-Sicilian heritage and a signal of new blood in this thing of ours. What began as a tape title and a label name—Limosa Nostra—has since evolved into the engine driving Ricky Hil’s creative world that now serves as an enclave for like-minded artists and talent.
Limosa Nostra has partnered with Atlantic Records and 10K Projects for a series of releases, including City Morgue co-founder and Trap Metal pioneer SosMula’s KAMP KRYSTL LAKE, Ricky Hil’s 10,000 Grams sequel with hit-making producer Lex Luger, as well as upcoming collaboration albums. “It’s always been a brotherhood. There are people who were part of this family before it became a record label,” Hil notes. “And there are hundreds of people with tattoos of it, which I love.” Ricky always aimed to create a space for his crew to make art on their terms. “My dream since the beginning was always like, one day I’m gonna make enough money and sign all my friends and sign whoever I think is hot.” Partnerships with longtime collaborators like Sos and Lex are only the beginning. Sos and Ricky are embarking on a Killa Season Tour, marking an exciting new chapter in their careers.
Between music releases, Limosa Nostra functions as more than just a label. Ricky, along with his inner circle, regularly designs shirts, hoodies, and other merchandise that serve as a tangible extension of the brand. “Simple is cool for me,” he declares, “But we are really trying to push boundaries with music, with merch, with touring, with visuals, with everything.”
