The Video:
21-year-old Tre Loaded spent 2024 establishing his bonafides as one of Memphis’s most exciting rising stars. The young rapper earned a major co-sign earlier this fall when he recruited BigXThaPlug to add his booming, basso charisma to “Another Whip (Remix),” a new version of one of Tre’s viral hits.
Today, Tre and BigX connect for the brand new music video for the remix, going behind the scenes of the recent “Take Care Tour,” headlined by BigX with Tre as a supporting act. The video switches between performance scenes and backstage revelry, as both rappers show off their dancing diamonds and enjoy the spoils of fame.
With 4 million streams across platforms, “Another Whip” provided a breakout moment for Tre Loaded, trending on TikTok and charting on Shazam, and was a highlight from his LOADED mixtape. A 12-track mixtape full of unapologetic Southern rap bangers, LOADED is home to slinky singles like “Push Start,” and a guest appearance from That Mexican OT on the trumpet-laden single “The Ticket,” covered by outlets like Stereogum and HipHopDX. Tre grew up in East Memphis surrounded by music, taking trips to the studio to listen to rappers like his uncle Don Trip. Tre started rhyming at age fifteen, inspired by his Memphis forebears and lyrical street rappers like Rod Wave and Ralo to turn the booth into his diary and turn rapping into his career. In early 2023, Tre first shared “Vo Flow,” a minimalist banger populated mostly by snapping fingers, low-note guitars, and Tre’s percussive voice, which eventually gained traction on social platforms like TikTok. The song has generated over 6 million streams across platform to date. Most recently, Tre joined BigXThaPlug on several Southern dates of his “Take Care Tour,” acting as the star Texas rapper’s direct support.
