Today, Baja Beach Fest releases the official BBF 2024 aftermovie, presenting highlights from the weekend in kinetic fashion.
Meticulously edited and crafted by the BBF team, the new Aftermovie is a comprehensive chronicling of the weekend’s highlights, featuring thrilling performance clips, testimonials from artists and fans, euphoric crowd shots, and illuminating atmopsheric elements that make the festival unique. The movie begins with a focus on the fans, as they stream into the festival wearing their bathing suits and draped in a rainbow array of flags, ready to hear their favorite artists, including more Mexican artists than ever before. Wide establishing shots display the scale of the festival, as it transforms the beachside town of Rosarito into the epicenter of Latin culture.
The Aftermovie pays special attention to the performances of the fest’s incredible headliners. Rauw Alejandro closed out Friday night with a heavily choreographed set, featuring scorching renditions of his danceable hits. Saturday brought Peso Pluma, the biggest star in Mexican music today, who basked in the glory of his home country fans and brought out special guests Junior H and Oscar Maydon. On Sunday, innovative corridors Fuerza Regida, led by frontman JOP, performed music from their genre-bending album and ended the festival on a high note, while Kali Uchis brought her indelible grace to a floral, soothing, and sensual Special Sunday Set. Beyond the headliners, the Aftermovie makes time to highlight artists like Becky G, an Inglewood, CA native who spoke directly to her many fellow SoCal natives of Mexican heritage in attendance, hitmaking singer-songwriter Jhayco, and rising Mexican heartthrob Xavi. Baja Beach Fest’s 2024 Aftermovie ends as it begins, with a focus on the fans, as they tell the filmmakers their favorite part of Baja Beach Fest: answers range from the beach to the vibes to the performances to the mujeres.
Baja Beach Fest is a tradition that started in 2018, and has continued for 6 amazing festivals. For over half a decade, the festival has become a can’t miss weekend destination for many SoCal residents, with Rosarito located just 45 minutes south of San Diego, CA.
