Quebec City, November 12, 2024 – BLEUFEU is thrilled to announce the return of Toboggan – New Year’s Eve Celebrations, presented by SiriusXM in collaboration with Leclerc, the event’s new partner. Toboggan returns with a bang from December 29 to 31, featuring an electrifying lineup across two stages, including MATTN, bbno$, Jonas Blue, Le Twins, Haviah Mighty, and Surf Mesa at Place George-V, plus La Bottine Souriante, Kaïn, and Quimorucru at Place de l’Assemblée-Nationale. Exclusive areas are available with a ticket purchase, but as always, entry to the Toboggan Festival remains free for
everyone.
Toboggan 2024: Three Days of Festivities
“This edition of Toboggan is an opportunity for BLEUFEU to enhance the festival experience by maximizing the impact of our activities with a concentrated three-day format,” says Nicolas Racine, President and CEO of BLEUFEU. “With exciting new features, including exclusive zones and a daytime holiday cinema, Toboggan continues to evolve, making Quebec City a top New Year’s destination.”
Traditional Music and Festive Electro Nights
“This year, we’re honoring our musical heritage with December 31 dedicated to traditional Quebec music at Place de l’Assemblée-Nationale, headlined by La Bottine Souriante, our most iconic trad band. Meanwhile, Place George-V will be buzzing with electro and urban music for three nights of epic celebrations, featuring major international artists like bbno$, Jonas Blue, and MATTN to kick off the new year in style,” says Louis Bellavance, VP of Content and Artistic Direction at BLEUFEU.
December 29, 30, and 31 at the SiriusXM Cube at Place George-V
From December 29 to 31, the SiriusXM Cube at Place George-V will pulse with electro and urban beats. Whether you’re a fan or simply looking for a vibrant atmosphere, these free nights promise epic fun with an exciting musical lineup.
December 29
At 5 PM, Montreal-based DJ Cece the Red will kick off the festivities with her groovy sounds. Rising star Laure takes over at 6 PM with mesmerizing melodies and deep house. Latin American duo Le Twins follow at 7 PM with their explosive electro-pop, while British DJ and producer Jonas Blue headlines at 8:30 PM with global hits like “Fast Car” and “Perfect Strangers.”
December 30
DJ Mika opens at 5 PM with a dynamic set blending afro, Latin, house, disco, and hip-hop rhythms. Next, MR. SAUGA, a promising artist who merges Indigenous traditions with modern beats, takes the stage at 6 PM. Haviah Mighty, the first female artist to win the Juno for Rap Album of the Year (2022), follows at 7 PM, leading up to Canadian rapper and viral sensation bbno$, who closes out the night at 8:30 PM.
December 31
The evening starts at 9 PM with American DJ FREAK ON and his tech house enhanced by catchy vocal hooks. At 10 PM, Seattle’s Surf Mesa, known for the global hit “ily (i love you baby),” spins his electro-chill melodies. Finally, at 11:30 PM, Belgian DJ MATTN, a prominent name in the EDM scene, delivers an explosive set, perfect for ringing in the new year.
December 31 at the SiriusXM Stage, Place de l’Assemblée-Nationale
On December 31, Place de l’Assemblée-Nationale will feature traditional Quebec music. Don’t miss the chance to welcome 2025 in true local style. BoBo OnO kicks off the evening at 7:30 PM with pop-rock featuring funk and psychedelic vibes, followed by Gaspésie-based trad group Quimorucru at 8:25 PM. At 9:30 PM, popular band Kaïn takes the stage, delighting fans, with legendary group La Bottine Souriante closing out the night from 11PM until 12:30 AM.

Exclusive Areas
Although Toboggan is free, you can also experience New Year’s Eve from exclusive paid zones at Place de l’Assemblée-Nationale and Place George-V. Groupe Voyages Québec Stands, the Gold Zone, and the Silver Zone at Place de l’Assemblée-Nationale offer reserved seating and access to exclusive bars. The Gold Zone, close to the SiriusXM Stage, promises a prime view of the festivities. The more intimate Silver Zone offers a cozy atmosphere with fire pits to warm up between traditional dances. Electro fans can enjoy a high-energy night at the Kepler Gin Lounge at Place George-V, featuring creative cocktails and DJ sets to welcome 2025 in style. Leclerc Family Cinema
During the day, classic holiday films will screen at the Leclerc Family Cinema at Place George-V, creating a magical holiday experience before the evening festivities. Outdoor fire pits, relaxation areas, hot chocolate, and Leclerc product tastings create a unique, family-friendly outdoor cinema experience. On December 31, enjoy a stroll along Grande Allée, which will be aglow with its famous heated, decorated terraces. Starting at 7:30 PM, visitors can purchase a drink from one of the outdoor bars and roam within this festive area up to Place de l’Assemblée-Nationale.

Toboggan is a Sustainable Festival
Toboggan is a festival that seeks to reduce its ecological footprint. Among the actions taken, Toboggan will soon be carbon-neutral, meaning that the greenhouse gas emissions generated by the event will be offset through the organization Planetair. Toboggan also promotes sustainable mobility through its communication campaigns. Additionally, Toboggan warms you ecologically by using eco-friendly logs in its outdoor fireplaces. Add to that the creation of a “Good Festivalgoer Guide,” available on tobogganfestival.com, which offers festivalgoers a series of green actions aimed at minimizing the ecological impact of their visit.
