The EP:
Steadily rising to the top of the street rap game, Trigga500k is the pride of Monticello, Florida. Ready to fulfill his destiny and become the Sunshine State’s next breakout star, he shares Forgive Me, I’m Still Trappin, his new EP.
The eight-track project finds Trigga showing off the strength of his raw rhymes, telling honest street stories over hard-hitting production. Opening track “Licks and Risks” immediately sets the tone for the EP, with Trigga rhyming about making something from nothing: “I took risk after risk after risk / Broke as f*ck, I had to get up off by a** and get it fixed.” Keeping up the hustle-hard theme, Trigga outlines his ring-winning motivations on “Trapionship” before making it clear that he’s the top dog on the assertive “Rich Off Flakk.” He continues his dominance as the project comes to a close with “CBFW,” a crystal clear warning to the haters that Trigga and his crew are not to be messed with: “Yeah I’m the one that can’t be f*cked with / I know them n****s ain’t get no money, stop all that lying, stop all that f*cking cappin.” The EP is also home to standout previously released singles, including the BossMan Dlow-featuring “Ain’t Goin” (1.8M YouTube views), the shimmering “Chosen 1,” and the 42 Dugg-featuring “Last Ones Left.”
Along with the EP, Trigga shares the video for project highlight “Trapionship.” The Florida-set video finds Trigga showing off the fruits of his rap success, flexing his yellow gold chains, sleek sports cars, and a new iced-out grill.
Forgive Me I’m Still Trappin is the latest step in Trigga500k’s rise to the top of Florida’s rap game. Born and raised in Monticello, a small town approximately 30 minutes east of Tallahassee, Trigga first caught attention with his 2022 hit “Ether,” which has over 3.1 million views on YouTube and earned Trigga a deal with EMPIRE. He followed in 2023 with his debut album, Trimmer Den Ever, which racked up over 16.7 million organic streams in its first four months, powered in part by his viral hit “Havin Motion,” which has over 6 million streams across platforms. “Havin Motion” became an anthem across the south, earning Trigga cosigns from the likes of Lil Baby, 42 Dugg, Moneybagg Yo, Skilla Baby, Lil Scrappy and Meek Mill, among others, and leading to a 22-date headlining tour in 2024.
