The Paper Route Empire Rapper Shares The Upbeat New Video For A Highlight Track From East Haiti Baby: Incarcerated, Featuring His Late Mentor Young Dolph
Critical Praise:
“It’s hard-working hustler music that never lets up, with a beat that never sleeps. Big Moochie Grape makes soundtracks not just for grinding, but for surviving.” – Pitchfork
“[East Haiti Baby is] an impressive body of work from one of Memphis’s strongest frontrunners.” – HotNewHipHop
The Video:
A “gigantic” force in the Memphis rap community, Big Moochie Grape weaves his street smarts and vibrant personality into his hard-hitting bars. Today, he shares the video for “Fun” ft. Young Dolph, a highlight track from East Haiti Baby: Incarcerated. Produced by PRE’s own Bandplay, the track finds Moochie and Dolph going bar for bar, rapping about how they plan to spend their money and what sets them apart from the rest of the rap game: “So much bread like I work at a bakery / Independent young n***a, don’t need your agent / Stack all the money ’til this shit start again.’” Dolph continues to flex on his verse: “I don’t care how it get done, just get that shit done (Okay) / I take a trip and come right back, flood the block just for fun (Fun).” In the video, Moochie shows off what he does for fun – riding jet skis, hitting the club, driving luxury vehicles, and more. The video also includes footage of Moochie’s late mentor Young Dolph who tears up the Memphis streets on a 4-wheeler.
“Fun” continues Moochie’s streak of high quality music videos, including his first day out anthem “Wake Em Up.” “Fun” originally appeared on Moochie’s November 2023 project, East Haiti Baby: Incarcerated, the follow-up to 2022’s East Haiti Baby. The high-octane mixtape welcomes guest verses exclusively from other incarcerated rappers, including YFN Lucci, who who turns in a sing-song counterpoint to Moochie’s machine gun patter on “I Made It,” Rio Da Yung OG on “Bars,” a Memphis-meets-Michigan-style banger, and his PRE cohort Big Unccc, who tears it up on “L.A. Lakers.” Notably, the project welcomes an interlude from C-Murder, a close friend of Moochie’s late mentor Young Dolph, the No Limit soldier who has been locked up for decades and has much wisdom to share. Honoring the project’s themes, Big Moochie Grape and Paper Route Empire partnered with the Bail Project , a non-profit that advocates for bail reform and provides free bail assistance to those in need, in December 2023, matching donations up to $20k. Featuring an additional guest appearance from Bankroll Freddie, East Haiti Baby: Incarcerated is available all on platforms via Paper Route Empire.
Now that he’s free, Big Moochie Grape is hellbent on stepping on necks throughout 2024 and beyond. Stay tuned for much more music from the East Memphis rapper this Summer.

The Background:
Paper Route Empire rapper Big Moochie Grape burst onto the scene in 2019, with boisterous Memphis rap tunes like “Uh Huh Uh Huh Uh Huh,” which appeared on his debut EP, Eat Or Get Ate. Inspired by his late PRE mentor Young Dolph, Moochie went hard in 2022, releasing East Haiti Baby, home to street hits like the Bandplay-produced “Acting Up” (30 million Spotify streams) and “Christopher Wallace” (10 million Spotify streams). The mixtape earned praise from Pitchfork, who said, “the Young Dolph associate’s latest album is full of hard-working hustler music that never lets up.” After releasing the expanded East Haiti Baby: Incarcerated, Moochie is hard at work on his next project, due early in 2024.
