The Video:
A cold-blooded trapper with expensive taste, Orlando’s Danny Towers knows how to live large. Smoothly operating over a luxurious instrumental, Danny shares “Where You Been,” his new video single. Produced by Snapp Beats, “Where You Been” is a slinky, glistening anthem for the dealers, mixing G-funk synths, sparkling keys, and Fender Rhodes that put the Vice in Miami. Danny gracefully maneuvers through the 1000 thread count instrumental, as he talks strictly business: “They like ‘Danny where you been,’ I been walking down a mil/I’m countin’ up this paper, I ain’t have to do no drill.” In the video, directed by Benny Flash, Danny counts cash, dodges the law, and flirts with a baddie who is blissfully unaware of his most-wanted status.
“Where You Been” is the latest in a line of high quality video singles from the proud Florida native, directly following “Right Now,” a haunting banger with a guest spot from Port Salerno rising star BossMan Dlow. In late 2023, Danny collaborated with peers from across the rap spectrum, on singles like like “Double Park” with GT, “Special Bullets” with Robb Bank$ and the Tony Shhnow-featuring “Heavy.”
These singles arrived in the wake of Safe House, his 2023 collaborative project with DJ Scheme, home to the viral single, “Florida Water” ft. Luh Tyler & Ski Mask The Slump God, which earned praise from XXL, Stereogum, HotNewHipHop, and more. “Florida Water” inspired a photo dump trend on TikTok, where creators drop the flyest selfies in their Photos app as the beat drops and Danny’s infectious hook, “Threw him in that water, I’m from Florida, but my wrist Cuban,” gives way to Luh Tyler’s croaking verse. Peaking at #1 on TikTok’s trending charts, the song generated over 200k video creations on TikTok, over 35 million streams on all platforms, and reached the top spot on SoundCloud’s daily chart. With additional guest appearances from Denzel Curry, Robb Bank$, and more, Safe House is available everywhere via TC Music LLC/EMPIRE.

About Danny Towers
Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Orlando, FL, Danny Towers is a fixture in the Florida rap underground. He’s regularly collaborated with artists like Ski Mask The Slump God, XXXTentacion, and many more, making an impact with his gravelly voiced delivery and bone-tough lyricism. Towers earned critical acclaim in 2019 with his debut album Tarantula, and scored his first two Gold records with the help of his friend DJ Scheme. Towers’ back-and-forth with Ski Mask on Scheme’s hard-hitting “How You Feel?” (2019), also featuring Lil Yachty, helped the song rack up over 100 million combined streams. Towers reunited with Scheme, Ski, and Yachty in 2020 for “E-Er,” earning another Gold plaque in the process.
Now, Towers is gearing up for Safe House, his upcoming collaborative project with DJ Scheme. Safe House is home to “Florida Water,” another Ski Mask collaboration with an added element of Tallahassee riser Luh Tyler, which caught fire in early 2023, generating tens of millions of streams and peaking #1 on TikTok’s trending charts.
