The Recap:
Rolling Loud Bay Area always brings a unique vibe, offering a dose of the distinct traditions of the regional rap scene along with the hottest national trends. Putting a bow on Rolling Loud’s third annual sold-out concert in Northern California, Sunday brought a healthy dose of A-list and up-and-coming talent. Festival guests experienced Migos‘ endless parade of hits, a breakout set from red hot local hero Saweetie, Lil Uzi Vert closing out the night with a high energy performance, and much more.
More highlights include Tyga playing a decade’s worth of hit songs with well choreographed baddies at his side, DaBaby dapping it up with fans in the middle of a turned-up performance of “Suge,” and Juice WRLD lighting up the High Hemp stage with a star-studded set of guest appearances from Ski Mask The Slump God, Young Thug, and Trippie Redd.

THE BACKGROUND:
Founded in 2015 by Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif as a one-day festival in Miami, Rolling Loud evolved into a global behemoth, with massive festivals on both American coasts and an international event in Australia. An area with a rich and distinctive hip-hop tradition, the Bay was the first site of Rolling Loud’s expansion, hosting the first Rolling Loud Bay Area in Mountain View, CA in September 2017. Last year, Rolling Loud Bay Area re-located to Oakland Coliseum, drawing 80,000 rap fans to a sold-out two-day festival, headlined by Wiz Khalifa and Travis Scott.
