The Video:

Just 5 days after the release of his album Breezo George Gervin (Leading Scorer Edition), Chicago’s 600Breezy continues to drop heat with the visual for “Lou Rawls.” Set in sunny Miami, “Lou Rawls” finds Breezo channeling his inner Rick James as he gleefully stomps on a couch, using his Fear of God boots to ruinous effect. When he’s not destroying perfectly innocent furniture, Breezo’s living it up in Miami. Dropping the top on a pair of foreign whips, partying with gorgeous models, and of course, rolling up Backwoods, 600Breezy is the epitome of a rapper on vacation. Unless you’re disturbed by man-on-couch violence, check out the video for “Lou Rawls” today.

600Breezy built up anticipation for the new project with a string of quality videos, each one harder than the last. Two weeks ago, he dropped the claustrophobic “Never Told,” in which Breezo and Al-Doe hold their own in the interrogation room. “Never Told” was the fourth video released from Breezo George Gervin Leading Scorer Edition, following “Moonlight,” a hard-as-nails posse cut with a gritty, chop shop-set video featuring Da Goodfellas (Al-Doe, Bishop Ford, & Parkay), Leading Scorer Intro,” which has already racked up 237k views on YouTube, and Get It,” another collaboration with Al-Doe. 600 Breezy got a major boost when he popped up for a cameo on Drake‘s More Life, the highest selling album of the year so far. The culmination of a months-long mutual respect and friendship with the famous Toronto rapper, Breezy lent More Life one of its most memorable “drops” at the end of “Lose You” as he shouted out Drake via voicemail. Powered by Rita Lee of Nuface Entertainment, Breezo George Gervin (Leading Scorer Edition) is 600Breezy’s first project since last year’s Breezo George Gervin: Iceman Edition, which boasted top notch production contributions from Metro Boomin, London On Da Track, and 808 Mafia’s Southside and Tarentino and a guest appearance from OJ Da Juiceman.

600Breezy Background:

600Breezy has been building his following with massive visuals, with videos “Don’t Get Smoked” headed towards 3 million views and “Do Sum” coasting past 1 million views. As KollegeKidd previously noted, the Chicago rapper drew attention late last year when he shared clips of himself on social media with a tank that came into his possession. With 19 tracks featuring production from the likes of London On Da Track and Metro Boomin, 600Breezy dropped heat last year with Breezo George Gervin: Ice Man Edition. 600Breezy recently released the follow up, Breezo George Gervin: Leading Scorer Edition, powered by Rita Lee of Nuface Entertainment.

EMPIRE Background

EMPIRE was founded in 2010 as an artist-friendly, progressive digital distribution company. After early success, and identifying future icons such as Kendrick Lamar, Sage The Gemini, and Rich Homie Quan, EMPIRE was quickly regarded as a tastemaker in the industry and throughout the past five years evolved into a full-fledged record label, distributor and publisher for independent musicians. With the company and roster growing at a breakneck pace, EMPIRE has effectively disrupted a stale business model by bringing its energy, expertise, and acumen to its artists and labels.
