Single: 24kGoldn – “Games On Your Phone” (Prod. by D.A. Doman)

The USC Student and Budding Rap Star Shares a Lovelorn, Guitar-Driven Balled

Critical Praise:

“24KGoldn is one of the artists I’d feel most confident with predicting a massive year for in 2019. The melodic star has impeccable energy and stellar beat selection.” – ELEVATOR

“An elegantly-ratchet, booming trap beat from Black Mayo, a hook that stays in your head, and a charismatic, unique emcee at the helm, ‘Valentino’ has all the components of a sure-fire hit” – Lyrical Lemonade

The Song:

With a unique charisma and songwriting ability, California teenager 24kGoldn radiates star quality. Delivering a sweetly-sung ballad about modern love, Goldn shares “Games On Your Phone,” his latest single. Teaming up with platinum producer D.A. Doman (Tyga’s “Taste,” Kodak Black’s “Zeze”), and with guitar production from Omar Fedi,  Goldn addresses the object of his affection with passionate melody. He doesn’t need a pledge of undying love, just an indication that he’s more important than Candy Crush:  “When you up at night/All alone/Playing games on your phone/Do I cross your mind?/Gotta know/These feelings for you I can’t control.”

Says 24kGoldn, “‘Games On Your Phone’ was inspired by all my experiences dating and being in the love market. Our generation is about instant gratification and people think it’s a game. In some senses, it is, but I’m not gonna get played like a game. The song’s lyrics could refer to a game like Angry Birds, but it could also mean playing games with someone’s emotions and their heart. We’re all so connected, digitally. You don’t have to be with a person to play games. You could send a text…or not send a text.”

Currently in between semesters as a Business major at USC, Goldn has his sights on a massive second half of 2019. “Games On Your Phone” follows the viral hit “Valentino,“ which has over 2 million views on YouTube and over 5 million streams on Spotify, and its successful follow-up  “A Lot To Lose,” which has 1.6 million Spotify streams. A budding star in the songwriting realm, Goldn wrote “Gone Girl,” the hit single by Iann Dior featuring Trippie Redd (25 million Spotify streams). Stay tuned for Goldn’s upcoming EP, executive produced by D.A. Doman, coming to stores this fall via RECORDS, LLC.
