The Album:
Young Dolph’s debut album, King of Memphis, finds the charismatic rapper teaming up with A-list producers Mike WiLL Made-It, TM88, Zaytoven, Drumma Boy, and Cassius Jay, among others. With a stronghold on his hometown of Memphis, the prolific artist is now looking to make waves around the country, inviting them into his world on King of Memphis. On King of Memphis, Young Dolph proves he can deliver a compelling full-length all on his own, shouldering the 11-track load without any guest rappers. Noisey, who debuted the album this afternoon, says “King of Memphis is a solid debut album from one of the most quietly popular artists in the South right now, and it’s well worth your time.” Earlier this week, Dolph shared the album’s first video single, “Get Paid,” which depicted the hilarious scenario of him getting a court order to show a young man how to make an honest living. Dolph engaged his fanbase several days prior to the release, teasing the concept on Instagram, “whatever you do – don’t forget to get paid,” he tells the kid. Officially releasing this Friday, Young Dolph’s King of Memphis is available for purchase.
Young Dolph has long been a VIP in his hometown, the prolific artist is now looking to make waves around the country with King of Memphis. His career got a major boost from his underground hit “Preach,” which is still getting radio play despite its 2014 release. The track scored an official remix with Rick Ross and Young Jeezy. Young Dolph also joined T.I. on Colonel Loud‘s “California,” a major hit on Hip-Hop radio. More recently, Forbes named Dolph one of The Hip-Hop Cash Princes of 2016. WatchLoud praised Young Dolph as one of 9 Rappers You Need to Watch In 2015 while Complex dubbed him one of 15 Unsigned Rappers Who Should Get A Deal After SXSW. “What makes Dolph exemplary is his affinity for memorable hooks and catchy call-and-response punch lines,” Complex raved. “This is Young Thug without the odd quirk.” King of Memphis is available to buy on iTunes.

Young Dolph Background
Born on the South Side of Chicago and raised in notoriously known Castalia Heights neighborhood in South Memphis, Young Dolph emerged in the urban music scene and amassed a large dedicated fan base. Dolph grew up in a hectic environment, surrounded by drugs and alcohol, but that never completely defined him. He always had a passion for music, but it wasn’t until his peers recognized his talent and suggested that he take rap seriously. Eventually his hustle mentality and creativity led him to consistently dropping mixtape after mixtape. With authentic punch lines and stern club bangers, he created his own lane of High Class Street Music. On the strength of releasing consistent quality mixtapes, Dolph became one of the only independent musicians to have multiple Top 20 records with Preach and California and Top 40 records with “Make the World Go Around” and “Pulled Up.” Yet to release an album, the success Dolph has gained from his mixtapes have led to collaborations with some of the most influential artists in hip-hop including 2 Chainz, Juicy J, Young Jeezy, and Rick Ross. In 2015, Dolph headlined his own tour selling out throughout the country.
