Song: Scotty ATL – “Kno That U Will” ft. Kissie Lee
Scotty ATL Reflects on Lost Loved Ones in a Georgia Freeway in This Video Single from Daily Bread
09.30.2013
Critical Praise for Scotty ATL:
“Scotty ATL has been consistently dropping solid music for quite some time now, and it doesn’t look like he’s planning to stop anytime soon.” – Complex
“Scotty ATL is the ultimate blue-collar rapper that you don’t have to try and relate to—it just comes natural.” – Mass Appeal
The Video:
With his down-home drawl and plainspoken charisma, few rappers are as real and down-to-Earth asScotty ATL. Recorded during a period of great loss for the Cool Club CEO, “Kno That U Will,” produced by Tino and featuring a hook from Kissie Lee, is a Southern-fried, guitar-driven, downtempo track about how grief can amplify life’s everyday struggles. In March 2016, before going on tour with B.o.B, Scotty lost four close friends in four weeks, including frequent collaborator and close friend Bankroll Fresh. Posting up on a Georgia freeway with a highball of liquor, Scotty ATL reflects on those that he lost as the video intercuts with black and white home movie clips. Premiered today by HipHopDX, “Kno That U Will” is the third single from Scotty’s recently released Daily Bread, following “So High,” a JayDot-featuring stoner’s anthem, and “Bye Bye,” a mournful trap ballad with a beautiful guest spot from Ty Dolla $ign.
Released on September 21st, Daily Bread is an album rooted in tragedy and triumph, focusing on Scotty’s personal growth and lessons learned. With features from Ty Dolla $ign, Jaydot Rain, and Kissie Lee, and production from DJ Burn One, KE On the Track, JayeLL, and Cory Mo, among others, Daily Breadfollows in a noble tradition of rap classics like UGK’s Ridin Dirty and songs like Pete Rock & CL Smooth’s “T.R.O.Y.” or 2Pac’s “Keep Ya Head Up,” exploring the excesses and the consequences of a rapper’s life. A rapper, producer, record label owner, and entrepreneur, Daily Bread is the result of a career’s worth of grinding, and it stands as one of the rapper’s most accomplished efforts.

Scotty ATL Background:
Everything about Scotty ATL is definitively southern. From the way he positions his ‘A’ hat atop his head down to the flip-flop and socks on his feet, he’s an authentic offspring of the culture that has raised him. Hailing from the city’s eastside, Scotty ATL is the funk and soul of Outkast mixed with the political and social-consciousness of Goodie Mob, but from a perspective all his own. An utterly independent spirit with a distinct drawl and vernacular, his name embodies his persona. Scotty ATL is all things Atlanta, yet his movement is worldwide, which is neither by coincidence nor chance.
A hustler since the womb, Scotty ATL formed his own label Cool Club, an ode to his style and attitude upon entering the business of entertainment. The street-smart rapper then began effectively building his brick-by-brick campaign putting in countless hours and money to expand his presence. As a result, he released a succession of popular mixtapes starting with the debut of 2011’s Summer Dreams hosted by DJ Burn One, which ignited a cult-like following. He released other successful projects such as In The Meantime, The Jiffy Cornbread Experience, F.A.I.T.H (Forever Atlanta In The Heart), In The Meantime 2 and SPAGHETTI Junction, all of which spawned notable singles. In 2014, he joined forces with Grammy-nominated artist B.o.B’s No Genre imprint and embarked on a nation-wide tour billed the Cool Club Tour. The following year he was featured on the remix to Curren$y’s “Cloud IX” and followed that up with the instant classic The Cooligan, a 16-track composition hosted by DJ Scream and DJ Mike Mars. The pivotal mixtape featured collaborations with Curren$y, CyHi The Prynce, 8Ball, Devin The Dude, and B.O.B, with production credits going to KE On The Track, DJ Burn One, and Drumma Boy.
