Even though Philthy Rich hustled his way into a good living, he’s never abandoned Seminary, the neighborhood in East Oakland he calls home. Welcoming New Orleans rappers Young Greatness and Magnolia Chop to the corner of 62nd and Hayes, Philthy brings out his block and his most expensive cars for “Same N*gga” (Remix) his latest video. Showing off his Rolls, his Benz, his Maybach, and a bright red boxframe Cadillac, Philthy stunts in a solid gold track jacket with 20 of his best friends. “Same N*gga” (Remix) originally appeared on the February release of Real N*ggas Back in $tyle, and serves as an ideal appetizer for Hood Rich 4, Philthy’s third solo full-length of 2016, coming out this Friday, November 18th.
Hood Rich 4 is the culmination of a very busy 2016 for Philthy Rich. Philthy already released two solo full-lengths this year: February’s Real N*ggas Back in $tyle and June’s SemCity MoneyMan, two full-length collaborative albums, American Greed with Maybach Music signee Yowda and Political Ties with fellow Bay Area street icon Mozzy. Last week, Philthy teamed up with Jim Jones, Ball Greezy, and Icewear Vezzo for grinder’s anthem “Straight Drop.” Earlier this month, Philthy shared the Dirty Glove Bastard-premiered video for hustler’s anthem “Bounce Back”. In October, Philthy shared “Money In The Trap,” the Mass Appeal-premiered single with verses from Los Angeles’ Casey Veggies, Chicago’s Rockie Fresh, and D.C.’s Fat Trel. Earlier, The FADER shared the video for “Fuck I Look Like,” which features Detroit rapper Kash Doll. Featuring additional appearances from Soulja Boy, Birdman, B.o.B, G.
