News: Main Attrakionz Announce 808s and Dark Grapes 3, The FADER Premieres Kreayshawn-Directed Video
Cloud Rap Originators to Release Project on June 30th via Neil Young’s Vapor Records

Oakland, California’s Main Attrakionz is prepping for their first official release in almost three years with 808s and Dark Grapes 3, starting with a visual for their latest single, “Ain’t No Other Way.” Directed by Kreayshawn, Squadda B and MondreM.A.N. wander during a “nice little night” in San Francisco’s Chinatown while vibing out with production duo Friendzone. 808s and Dark Grapes 3 is slated for release on June 30 via Neil Young‘s Vapor Records.
“Ain’t No Other Way” is a smooth offering from the forthcoming project, with delicate keys complementing wavy melodies and rhymes from the North Oakland duo. “Shit was nice,” Mondre M.A.N. told The FADER. “Shout out to Kreayshawn for showing support, shooting the video for us.” 808s and Dark Grapes 3 follows a stream of solo and collaborative releases in 2011, including I Smoke Because I Don’t Care About Death, The Shady Bambino Project, Dope Since ’91, and their most definitive statement to-date, 808s and Dark Grapes II, which received critical praise from Pitchfork, Complex, SPIN, Fact Magazine, and more.
Squadda B and MondreM.A.N. of Main Attrakionz have been rapping together for most of their lives, cultivating a passionate sound that is all their own, combining opaque atmospherics and lived-in reality rhymes. Squadda B, who doubles as both producer and rapper, has a distinct production style that draws from Bay Area hyphy and mobb movements, while incorporating booming 808s and melodic, floating vocal clips.
