Continuing his streak for creating radio-ready hit records, Bobby Brackins has released his latest single, “My Jam.” Joined by Disney Channel star and Teen Vogue’s February cover girl Zendaya and RnB favorite, Jeremih, the track was debuted via Jezebel who noted “Brackins has such a specific voice, which is obviously a great quality in a rapper—it’s pinched and rangy, a scratchy pop-art alto that counters the smooth edges around him, and he wrote “2 On,” hence the familiar nighttime intimacy of this new one.” Anticipation for “My Jam” has been building for months as the artists have been teasing it in interviews and on social media, while the Bay Area’s WiLD 94.9 gave the single its radio debut.

Produced by Dem Jointz, “My Jam” follows the release of Bobby Brackins’ previous single, “Hot Box,” featuring G-Eazy and Mila J, which has amassed nearly 4 million SoundCloud plays and 1 million YouTube views. Although the song was released over five months ago, it’s continued to pick up speed with remix after remix, the majority of them, voluntarily. Soon after L.A’s Power 106 named “Hot Box” the Song of the Week last year, Bobby Brackins’ friend and former tour DJ, DJ Mustard, remixed the track, giving a New Jack Swing vibe. Then, renowned UK house producer Sinden turned up the BPM’s and made it dance floor-ready. “Unless you’ve been sleeping under a rock and/or live in North Korea—you’ve surely cozied up to the sex, drugs, and alcohol-fueled bangingness of Bobby Brackins’ hit single ‘Hot Box,’” said THUMP in their premiere of the Sinden remix.
