This Wednesday, January 23rd, SL Jones will release his new EP, Trapper's Delight. The tape, produced entirely by M16 and hosted by Hoodrich/Grand Hustle DJ, DJ MLK, will be released exclusively through LiveMixtapes. To announce the tape, last week Jones released the first leak from Trapper's Delight, tape opener "Let'm Talk," and then sat down for an exclusive "Studio Life" interview about the song and EP with 3 Little Digs, and today he's releasing the tape's second leak, "Just Like That."
The song, premiered this morning by The Smoking Section, serves as not only the second leak from Trapper's Delight but also the second track on the EP, and it picks up where "Let'm Talk" left off, as Jones espouses street code as laid forth according to his 23rd & Wolfe Street neighborhood. And while "Let'm Talk" offered listeners a more nuanced, inward look into Jones' psyche, "Just Like That" is instead all brashness -- trap talk at it's finest. And the sing-songy hook, which continues Jones' long-running streak of catchy refrains fits snuggly atop M16's booming, horn-laden production.

Background:
With the Rock on his back and a Razorbacks fitted cocked just so on his dome, Little Rock, Arkansas, rapper SL Jones first hit the scene as part of Killer Mike's Grind Time Rap Gang, releasing his now-classic C.O.L.O.R.S. (Bangin' On Wax) mixtape. It wasn't long after that SL knew he had to strike out on his own, and beginning in 2011 he did just that, starting with the release of The Number 23, hosted by Don Cannon. Closing out 2011, SL Jones released his Flight Risk mixtape, and together, the two mixtapes garnered strong reviews from XXL Magazine and Atlanta's leading alternative weekly, Creative Loafing, while earning the young gunner accolades from FADER, Complex, The Source, HipHopDX, The Smoking Section, Nah Right, RCRD LBL, Dirty Glove Bastard, and more, including a sit down with MTV News' Mixtape Daily and a nationally televised "On Deck" feature with MTV2's Sucker Free. In 2012, SL Jones released Paraphernalia, a collaborative effort with producer DJ Burn One that included features from Freddie Gibbs, Rittz, and more, and now, on January 23rd, SL Jones will released a new EP, Trapper's Delight, produced by M16 and hosted by Hoodrich/Grand Hustle's DJ MLK.
