Critical Praise for Moe Green:
"With a prize like Rocky Maivia: Non-Title Match under his belt, be prepared to see Green go the distance." - PopMatters.com
Selected as a member of 106 KMEL's (the biggest Bay Area hip-hop station) Freshmen Class of 2010.
The Video:
"Extra Extra" gives a different view of Moe Green, one that we didn't see with previous videos like "707." Instead of spitting verses in back alleys and under overpasses in Vallejo California, Green takes it down to San Francisco to rub shoulders with the white-collar crowd on Montgomery Street.
Myke Ward, who directed the video, pits Green against the city of wealth, just out of reach of the cars and money that surrounds him. As Moe's lyrics, with lines like "I'm living life hella hassled, but making me grow/ And I'm just trying to get my cake up/ And have fun 'till the day come," play out over producer Cash Martin's melancholy beat, shots of Moe traversing the city create a powerful, truly aspirational visual.

The Background:
The challenge for a fighter is not only with his opponent. It starts with confidence -- and confidence starts with training. Almost a year ago, in July 2010, Moe Green released Rocky Maivia: Non-Title Match, Green’s unofficial debut and a bold proclamation in his fight toward greatness. The release earned the Vallejo, California native strong reviews and high acclaim, as well as a coveted Show & Prove feature in XXL Magazine to go along with his spot in KMEL’s inaugural Bay Area Freshman 10 class. But nothing comes easy. And so, despite the early accomplishments, Moe Green has kept his training consistent, eschewing the big-name co-signs and instead choosing to remain the focal point of each of his releases. This includes Green's latest release, his forthcoming EP, Lionheart, a testament to the Vallejo rapper's continued keen focus, determination, and passion, as he continues his journey towards that title. Moe Green's new EP, Lionheart, will be released on June 27th and is being presented by OnSMASH and BRWTNSS.
